Job: ELECTRO-MECHANICAL MICROWAVE ENGINEER

Job Summary: Work with engineering to assist in designing, prototyping, testing and documenting miniature microwave coaxial connectors. Assists with design-level ECNs and process documentation.

Job Duties: Minimum job duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Participate in electro-mechanical product design using software modeling, and related documentation.
• Build and test (mechanical and electrical) prototype assemblies of connectors and cable assemblies. This includes Microwave Testing using VNA/PNA such as H-P 8510C test equipment and interpreting results.
• Help define assembly processes and documentation.
• Work independently or as part of a team, to follow guidelines for product and performance specifications and cost requirements.

Skills/Experience:
Requires 1 year min. experience working with miniature electromechanical components including experience in soldering of miniature components and microwave cable assembly. Requires an understanding of microwave engineering principles including testing with VNA/PNA equipment.. Requires experience drafting with modeling software.

Education:
Bachelor (4-year) year technical degree (BSEE preferred) from accredited engineering school or applicable engineering work experience.

Physical Demands:
Adequate corrected vision to use microscopes. Able to sit for extended period to perform testing and assembly work. Able to lift and maneuver 40 lbs. Able to travel by car and airplane.
