Loss Mitigation Manager


POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for implementing the policies, procedures and corporate strategies as set forth by senior management and the VP of Loss Mitigation. Provide strong leadership and direction to the first line Supervisors and the department’s staff. This individual ensures adherence to loss mitigation policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws and regulations and investor guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES PERFORMED

1) Determines performance objectives/metrics and defines tools to measure progress and ensure consistent achievement Department objectives.

2) Develop, identify and implement business strategies that drive results and improve efficiencies.

3) Oversees coaching and development of staff to ensure Federal and State compliance as well as internal quality guidelines.

4) Ensures the necessary daily/weekly/monthly operational statistics and reports are available for all levels of management and staff. Analyzes trends, variances and problem situations. Provides accurate reporting on results, including production statistics, actual result to goal and forecasting projections.

5) Utilizes problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.

6) Ensures the telephone quality reviews and monitoring process, including written and verbal performance feedback, is completed on a regular basis by Supervisors for all Loss Mitigation personnel.

7) Makes recommendations to improve loss mitigation process and increase efficiency with ongoing review and updates to the Policy and Procedures as necessary.

8) Assists with problem resolution when issues cannot be resolved and are escalated to the Manager level.

9) Oversee and monitor monthly scorecards as well as annual departmental performance reviews.

10) Proactively manage company delinquency based on historical data and industry trends.

11) Responsible for department retention and morale.




Skills / Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

1) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

2) 4-6 years Loss Mitigation- Management Experience.

3) Working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel programs.

4) Excellent Analytical skills.

5) Strong Computer and telephone skills.

6) Strong Interpersonal and customer service skills.

7) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

8) Excellent problem solving skills/analytical.

9) Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to effectively train, coach, develop, motivate team members and lead by example.



LANGUAGE

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word processing software; Excel spreadsheet software; Internet software; Database software and Contact Management systems.
